LDA Equipamentos Rodoviários invested in field research to develop a new line of Hot Asphalt Mixing Plants from 5 t/h to 150 t/h. This plant can be used for machining modified asphalt mix with the addition of polymers, rubber, fibers, filler, SMA (Stone Matrix Asphalt), WMA (Warm Mix Asphalt), among others.
The objective of this study was to eliminate operational deficiencies seen in traditional machines in the Brazilian market, developing a more robust, functional system, with better performance and affordable investment for customers. According to LDA Engineering, the components were designed for the equipment to work with a surplus of power and thus adapt to variables such as altitude, granulometry and variable unit, which allows for safer and more reliable production, reducing the real cost per ton produced.

The equipment offers some options for production configurations per ton/hour, effective and assemblies in portable format on road chassis or for fixed installations. The main function is the production of hot-machined bituminous mixtures with greater added value.
The LDA reinforces that this line of plants was developed to ensure that the project is executed in accordance with the demands and technical specifications designated by the characteristics of the works. This is possible due to the constant individual weighing system of the aggregates installed without the use of special conveyor belts on the equipment, combined with the mechanisms of the high-efficiency ow dryer drum with great ease of adjustment in loco and an external double plug mill type mixer drive with high durability, dry mixing zone of aggregates, heating system and mechanical mixing time regulation, ensuring the mixture outside the dryer drum in a closed compartment, ensuring the homogeneity of the asphalt mass and the non-oxidation of the CAP (Asphalt Cement of Petroleum).
To reduce fuel consumption and the emission of combustion-derived pollutants, the asphalt plant has an intelligent burning system, which fully takes advantage of the fuel’s calorific capacity through simplified burner adjustments, requiring no specialized labor, greater efficiency of drying and recovery of fine materials through plain-sleeve-type filters with low replacement cost, with the function of retaining the particulate entrained from the aggregates by the exhaust gas stream coming from the dryer. This set has a temperature and flow control system, which recover and redirect the aggregate to the composition of the asphalt mixture through the helical conveyor, that is, the plant does not generate solid waste that will need its own place for storage and handling. Exclusive Raedler elevator for transporting the asphalt mix to trucks, with no need for toothed fins to complete the homogenization of the bituminous mixture.

The basic function is to provide asphalt plant operators with an intuitive and friendly graphical interface to perform the following operations:
- Real-time monitoring of the process from its variables;
- Aggregate dosage according to pre-defined trace;
- Change of process parameters (set-points);
- Process control via supervisory commands;
- Production reporting;
- Fault identification through alarms.
This electronic system facilitates the operation and maintenance of the equipment during the production of hot-machined asphalt mixes.
